The Birch Racquet & Lawn Club

Langan provided master planning, landscape architecture, PD zoning, entitlement presentations, and site/civil engineering for a 30-site previously known as Rocky Top Equestrian Center. Programming and requested zoning for the site included up to 35 tennis courts, clubhouse, dormitories for academy players, family lodging, a golf recreation area, and one single-family residence. The project endured the trials of having existing single-family homeowners that opposed the project. Over the course of eight months, numerous council meetings took place, and the PD was revised a dozen times prior to approval. The facility officially opened in late 2020.
