The Grand at Baldwin

A new 166,984 SF mixed-use, transit-oriented development mixed-use complex is underway in Baldwin, New York. The Grand at Baldwin will feature 215 upscale apartment units, on-site parking and a robust amenity package. The ground floor level will contain 5,000 SF of commercial space, and four floors of apartments above. The development is right across from the Baldwin Long Island Railroad station. The Grand will be a catalyst for the long-planned revitalization of the Baldwin downtown area. Langan is providing geotechnical engineering services to the development. We performed a subsurface investigation for the proposed building and to the existing building foundations, as well as a stormwater investigation. We also provided construction administration services during the foundation construction.
