Trinity Church Renovation

OVERVIEW
For over 300 years, Trinity Church has been an integral part of New York City history and the Episcopal parish. Since opening in 1697, the building has undergone several changes and expansions, with its recent renovation being the most ambitious to date. The project included interior repairs, wheelchair-accessible ramps around the perimeter, and a canopy on the south side to enhance the worship experience, address overdue maintenance needs, and increase accessibility. Langan performed a 3D laser scan of the church interior and developed grading and drainage design for the ramps in compliance with ADA requirements. We also provided subsurface investigations to evaluate the foundation condition and confirm the depths of grave vaults, including those belonging to historic figures like Alexander Hamilton.
