University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman Hall Expansion

Langan provided survey and site/civil engineering services for the renovation and expansion of Stuart Weitzman Hall (formerly Morgan Hall), a historic 1892 building on Penn’s campus. The project will double the building’s size and modernize its facilities. Our team addressed site challenges including removal of an infiltration basin, extensive underground utilities, stormwater management within a tight footprint, and connections to historic sewers. We developed demolition, grading, drainage, site utility, and soil erosion control plans; designed ADA-compliant pathways and stormwater facilities; prepared a foundation drainage plan; and supported site-related LEED certification credits.
