Yale New Haven Health System – Park Avenue Campus Outpatient Center

Langan provided geotechnical services for the 100,000 SF, three-story outpatient building and 525-car parking garage. The project presented complex subsurface challenges, including variable soils, shallow groundwater, adjacent wetlands, historic fills, and existing structures. Langan developed an innovative ground improvement and foundation support plan for the removal and replacement of unsuitable materials, micro-piles, rammed aggregate piers, and underpinning, resulting in significant seismic design cost savings. We also provided construction oversight to verify the proper implementation and installation of all ground improvement and foundation elements.
