OVERVIEW
OQYANA World First consists of 20 man-made islands that together shape the Australian-continent portion of the World Islands reclaimed in Dubai in 2006. The proposed developments, currently in the early design development phase, will consist of luxury villas, hotels, and commercial buildings with marinas for yachts and private boats. The island edges will predominantly consist of beaches and quay walls.

Al Maryah Central

OVERVIEW
This new development on Al Maryah Island will encompass nearly 16 hectares of premier shopping and world class dining. It will seamlessly link to luxury hotels, The Galleria mall, and residential and commercial towers. Langan was retained to carry out full-scale geotechnical and environmental investigations. Langan provided geotechnical recommendations for foundation design, an environmental site investigation, an environmental impact assessment, and a construction environmental management plan. Based on the extensive physical survey data collected at the site and surrounding areas, Langan also developed a 3D Revit survey model.

Address Sky View

OVERVIEW
Address Sky View is a supertall structure located between Emaar Square and the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall metro station. The development consists of two towers approximately 240 meters tall, linked by the three-floor, floating Sky Bridge. The towers include apartments, hotel rooms, and shared basement levels for utilities and parking. Langan helped the structural engineer obtain Dubai Municipality approval for the foundation design within an expedited time frame. We performed a 3D finite element analysis to evaluate the foundation’s performance and adequacy and coordinated with the structural team to properly incorporate foundation flexibility into their design.

Istanbul Grand Airport City Development

OVERVIEW
Langan was retained to provide multi-disciplinary engineering services for the Airport City mixed-use development as part of the new Istanbul Grand Airport Development; the largest airport development currently being undertaken in the world. Airport City is located on approximately 7,650 hectares near the Black Sea northwest of central Istanbul. Porta Norte

OVERVIEW
Porta Norte is a 250-hectare development just north of Panama City, next to the Panama Golf Club and just 10 minutes from Tocumen International Airport. Inspired by the Old Quarter of Panama, this project was designed to harken back to the time when communities were tightly-woven networks. To achieve this, the design team looked to new urbanism - a concept founded on the belief that well-designed cities, towns, and neighborhoods build healthier and happier communities where businesses prosper. OVERVIEW
The project is located on a 1,000 hectare site along the coastal highway immediately north of the city of Cartagena, Colombia. Hudson Yards Redevelopment

OVERVIEW
This major New York City rezoning and redevelopment, led by Related/Oxford, under the joint guidance of New York City, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Hudson Yards Development Corporation, and New York State, is reinventing the once barren west side of Midtown Manhattan. Upon full completion, the site will include more than 18 million square feet of commercial, retail, and residential towers, 14 acres of open park space, a cultural venue, a public school, and a luxury hotel all built over active rail yards.

DMAVA Park and Hudson River Walkway

OVERVIEW
DMAVA Park and Hudson River Walkway is a public waterfront park offering sweeping views of Lower Manhattan and the New York Harbor, as well as the home of the historic Colgate Clock. This project responded to the environmental, historical, and recreational challenges of the property, specifically the movement of goods and cargo nearby and the historic migrations of people through nearby Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Langan designed this project for the NJDEP, including 1,600 linear feet of waterfront walkways, a bulkhead and waterfront esplanade, a timber boardwalk, and a three-acre park along the Morris Canal Basin, across from Liberty State Park. Our sensitive approach to preservation and ecologically-based engineering helped interpret and magnify this history while reconnecting Jersey City to its waterfront.

Tuxedo Reserve Master Plan

The Promenade at Coconut Creek

OVERVIEW
This lifestyle center is located on a 23-acre site in Coconut Creek, Florida. Langan's scope included obtaining rezoning and site plan approval. The site plan includes rooftop greenspace and LEED certification. Hunters Point Naval Shipyard

OVERVIEW
Hunters Point Naval Shipyard is on 638 acres of waterfront in the southeast corner of the San Francisco Bay and was established as a commercial shipyard in 1870. The Camden at Selma and Vine

OVERVIEW
The Camden Hollywood is a mixed-use development consisting of a 7-story above-grade structure with over 280 market-rate apartment units and almost 40,000 SF of ground floor commercial space. The building sits on top of a four-story below-grade parking garage. Langan provided geotechnical engineering, deputy grading inspection, and construction observation for this project.
