DFW American Airlines – Catering Facility

OVERVIEW
American Airlines opened a 214,000 SF catering facility to serve its hub at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). This project is part of a larger redevelopment effort throughout the southwest portion of DFW. Langan performed a geotechnical investigation, a wetland and habitat assessment, and a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, which led to a Phase II Environmental Investigation with soil sampling. We also completed a detailed traffic impact analysis to determine the facility’s impacts on the adjacent roadway network and provided landscape architecture and lighting design plans in accordance with the DFW Development Design Guidelines.

Penn State Hershey Medical Center – NMRI Building

OVERVIEW
The Penn State Hershey Medical Center Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging (NMRI) building is a state-of-the-art research facility that focuses on methodology development in magnetic resonance imaging and radio frequency magnetic field engineering. The building addition includes an expanded 34-space parking lot with improved lighting, a picnic area, and an upgraded bicycle facility. Langan provided design, permitting, and project close out services for a 2,500-SF addition to the 10,000-SF building. Langan's stormwater management design avoided costly upgrades to existing stormwater management practices elsewhere on campus and reduced the campus impervious area. The enhanced site features improve the workspace for facility staff.

Community Civic Campus

OVERVIEW
The aim of the Community Civic Campus project is to create a visually distinct, high-profile civic presence, and support South San Francisco's commitment to its live, work, learn, and play atmosphere. The three-phase project includes a 45,000-SF police station with space for information technology and human resources departments, a 90,000-SF library and recreation center, and a 7,250-SF fire station. Langan is addressing the various aspects of site/civil engineering including site/sidewalk layout, streetscape, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utilities.

Sacred Heart University – Bobby Valentine Recreation Center

OVERVIEW
Langan provided construction stake out and 3D laser scanning services for the Bobby Valentine Recreation Center at Sacred Heart University. The structure has a complicated steel core and glass curtain wall shell that required highly accurate steel layout and laser scanning of the steel connecting brackets for the curtain walls for shimming. Langan worked closely with Consigli and the various contractors throughout the process to keep the project moving forward at all times.

Fifth Season Vertical Farm

OVERVIEW
Langan provided engineering, environmental, and surveying services for the design and construction of a 60,000-SF structure including a warehouse, shipping and receiving, and offices for Fifth Season, an indoor vertical farming company transforming modern agriculture. Additionally, Langan utilized Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to perform necessary environmental mapping.

Rockaway Village

OVERVIEW
This four-phase, 850,113-SF development will bring seven buildings consisting of retail, community facilities, and 1,700 new affordable housing units to the underutilized area near the Rockaways. Our site/civil engineering services included schematics through construction phase design, construction administration, and permitting. We assessed the utility demand of the project, stormwater detention and permitting process and summarized our work in a letter that included conceptual utility and site plans. Langan also provided traffic and parking assessment services to support the project.
