Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) Grants for Vulnerable Communities
On August 3, Governor Newsom signed Senate Bill 158 into law. This bill appropriates $500 million for DTSC to investigate and clean up more of the 150,000 to 200,000 contaminated properties in California and revitalize communities suffering from environmental justice issues by recycling land to make it available for beneficial reuse.
