Baychester Avenue Self Storage

Located along Baychester Avenue west of Co-op City in the Bronx, this new storage facility will consist of a 3-story building with 1-cellar (about 86,000 GSF). The site is bordered by MTA New York City Transit elevated 5-train subway line to the east. On-site parking and vehicular circulation will be provided to serve loading docks, exterior storage units, and the office. Prior to commencement of design, Langan evaluated civil engineering issues critical to the site development schedule by reviewing building and utility information gathered from public agencies, sewer and water record mapping, and typical permit procedures. During the design development phase, we addressed issues such as site layout, grading, earthwork, drainage, stormwater management, utility connections, public right-of-way improvements, landscaping design, and the beginning of agency permitting.
