Cooper University Campus Master Plan

OVERVIEW
Langan is providing site/civil, geotechnical, traffic, and landscape architecture services for Cooper University Health Care’s major expansion of its Camden campus. The first phase includes construction of a 10-story, 345,000-SF hospital tower and upgrades to the central utility plant, which is connected to MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper by a pedestrian bridge. Key challenges include fitting the tower within a dense urban medical campus, managing deep excavation and groundwater, and integrating modifications to the rooftop healing garden. We also designed a below-grade stormwater management vault within the building footprint to optimize limited space. Our team’s established campus experience and local relationships helped streamline permitting and coordination for this transformative healthcare project.
