Saint Ann’s School
OVERVIEW
Langan provided engineering services for the adaptive reuse of a historic former Citibank at 142 Pierrepont Street into St. Ann’s School’s eighth campus in Brooklyn Heights. The project transformed the building into a shared arts space for all grade levels and a dedicated kindergarten on the upper floors. The updated facility features a central lobby, classrooms, art rooms, performance spaces, and assembly areas, with a design focused on maximizing natural light and accessibility. We performed geotechnical investigations, designed the support of excavation and underpinning (approved by NYCT and DOB), and conducted special inspections. Our site/civil team addressed infrastructure challenges, developed design plans, and supported construction. We also conducted a waste characterization study and oversaw soil import/export. Survey services included 3D laser scanning and delivery of a registered point cloud for the 21,750-SF structure.
